FAQ

Questions we hear from food QC teams

Can one device run both an off-the-shelf model and a custom one?

Yes. Load as many models onto the same device and app as you need, an off-the-shelf olive model and a custom spice model for instance, and switch between them without new hardware.

Does it work without an internet connection?

Yes. Scanning and results work offline. Data syncs to your dashboard once you are back online.

How does this compare to lab testing?

NIRStudio gives a fast, non-destructive read against your spec or reference, well suited to day-to-day quality and consistency checks. It is built to complement certified lab testing, not replace it in every case. For regulated certification claims, lab confirmation may still be required.

Can you build a model for a material that is not listed here?

Yes, this is what custom calibration is for. Send us representative samples covering the range you handle, and we build and validate a model around them.

What support is available?
