INDUSTRIAL / POLYMER
Identify any polymer, in about five seconds
A validated model covering 40+ polymer types, PP, PE, PET, PS, PVC, ABS and more, including the variant calls that matter, like PA6 versus PA66 or LDPE versus HDPE. Point, scan, and know what you are holding.
BUILT FOR SORTING AND RECYCLING
No calibration project required to get started
One handheld device, validated on the polymers you sort every day.

40+ polymers identified
PP, PE, PET, PS, PVC, ABS, POM, PMMA, EVA, PC, TPR and more, plus the variant calls that matter, like PA6 versus PA66 or LDPE versus HDPE.
No sample preparation
Colored, opaque, transparent, flake, pellet or finished part, scan it as it is, nothing to extract or prepare first.
Point-and-click, no training
Point the device at the sample and press the button, no chemometrics background required to read the result.
Instant result
Bluetooth-paired to the NIRStudio app. A polymer ID lands on screen in about five seconds.
THE POLYMER LIBRARY

Resolves the pairs that trip up sorting lines: PA6 versus PA66, and LDPE versus MDPE versus HDPE, not just the base polymer family.

WHY IT MATTERS
Purer streams, less manual sorting
Manual sorting is slow, and one misidentified batch can contaminate an entire recycled stream. Scanning at the point of sort cuts the time spent eyeballing resin codes, catches near-identical polymers before they mix, and gives you a purer output, without adding lab headcount or shipping samples out.
Where EPR rules call for a purity certificate on recycled input, every scan gives you a record to back it up.

HOW IT WORKS
Three steps, seconds to a result
Once your model is loaded, testing is this simple.
1. Connect
Pair the device with the NIRStudio app on your phone.
2. Scan
Point the device at the flake, pellet or part and press the button.
3. Result
See the polymer match in the app, in about five seconds.
FAQ
Questions we hear from sorting and recycling teams
What plastics can it identify?
More than 40 polymers, including the big five (PE, PP, PS, PET, PVC) plus ABS, POM, PMMA, EVA, PC, TPR and others, in rods, granules, foils, flakes or finished parts.
Can it tell PA6 from PA66, or LDPE from HDPE?
Yes. The model resolves these commonly confused variant pairs, not just the base polymer family.
Do I need training to use it?
No. Point the device at the sample and press the button, the result appears in the app within seconds.
Does it work on colored or opaque plastic?
Yes, no sample preparation is needed regardless of color, opacity or form.
What support is available?
Email, phone and video-call support, plus an ongoing library of polymer updates available instantly to every device.
